Sheer Rocks Restaurant offers a variety of different food experiences. From set dinner menu’s to a full tapas journey I can assure you that you’ll find plenty of mouth watering options. With long standing chefs, such as Head Chef Warner, in the kitchen there is no surprise that Sheer Rock’s quality has stood strong for so long.

In regards to drinks, the Rocks Group (Sheer Rocks, Catherines Cafe, Rokuni and Roquita) make some of, if not the best, cocktails in Antigua & Barbuda. Their use of local ingredients, high quality liquor and attention to detail, both taste-wise and aesthetically, will have you pulling out your phones and passing your drinks around insisting that everyone has a taste. They also have a notable curated wine collection that any wino or otherwise would find difficult not to enjoy. For those less inclined to alcoholic drinks, you can find a variety of mocktails that have been put together with the same attention to detail as the rest of the menu. Essentially, no matter what your preference, Sheer Rocks has you covered.

Additional Experiences

Alongside the wonderful food and drinks, Sheer Rocks Restaurant offers additional packages for a variety of party sizes. From the ‘Day Pass’, lounging by one of the pools, to a ‘Couples Champagne Sunset’, there are a whole host of ways that you can take you experience to another level, making it completely unforgettable.

Atmosphere

The use of exposed wood, rock and other natural materials at Sheer Rocks Restaurant gives it a very soft inviting feel. That coupled with a cool breeze, curated playlists and warm smiles from all the staff, you can’t help but feel relaxed. Whilst the relaxed but attentive feel is consistent the transition from day to night changes the feel of the place, going from a luxury laid back beach club feel to a very romantic atmosphere.

Whilst you by no means need to be romantically involved to go to Sheer Rocks, if you are looking for a place to spend a special night whiles on holiday I would highly recommend bringing yourself here.

Price

Sheer Rocks Restaurant is definitely on the more expensive side when it comes to dining out in Antigua & Barbuda. So that you don’t encounter any surprises, you may want to check their menus which are available on their website. Additionally, their dinner menus and tapas journeys are set prices, so apart from additional drinks you can easily figure out how much you’ll be likely to spend here.

Busy

The popularity, both locally and internationally, of Sheer Rocks Restaurant means that it has a tendency to be fully booked, especially if you are planning to use their daybeds. Though this is not always the case, for this reason I would advise trying to book you desired experience at least a week in advance.

Accessibility

To access Sheer Rocks Restaurant, you have to first walk through CocoBay Resort. Then, due to the restaurant being uniquely positioned along the cliff edge, there are many different floor levels. For this reason, I would not advise those requiring wheelchair access to visit. However, if you are able to navigate steps without too much difficulty then it would still be worth the effort

If you are renting a vehicle and someone in your party is less able on their feet, you can drive right up to the CocoBay Resort entrance to drop them off before driving back to the car park.

Romantic

As I mentioned earlier, if you’re looking to impress a date or celebrate a special occasion, I would recommend coming here for sunset drinks and dinner as the ambience and views from Sheer Rocks Restaurant as the sun goes down are breathtaking.

Relaxing

If the goal is to relax, getting one of the Day Pass experiences would be your best bet. I’d recommend getting one by the Rock Pool so you can have a dip when your feeling too hot. Alternatively, you can also get the daybed next to the smaller plunge pool. I find less people opt to dip in this one so you might actually find you have the whole thing to yourself. The staff also have this amazing trick of appearing at the exact time that you start feeling like your next round of drinks or pool side tapas 😄.

Additionally, you can enhance your relaxation by getting a massage from one of the women on the beach just to the left of Sheer Rocks if they are there when you visit.

Budget Conscious

For those who are more budget conscious but still want to experience Sheer Rocks Restaurant I’d recommend one of the following options:

Option 1: Before heading over to Sheer Rocks for the Day Pass experience, enjoy a filling mid-day lunch at Aunty Cavell’s Restuarant around the corner at Darkwood Beach. This will mean you don’t spend all your budget on food but you still get to have a great time.

Option 2: Similarly to option 1, I’d recommend having lunch at Aunty Cavell’s for some local flavour. However, you should then spend the afternoon at Little Ffryes Beach which is just to the left of Sheer Rocks Restaurant. After an amazing day on the beach you can end it by enjoying some sunset cocktails by the bar or pool at up at Sheer Rocks. Assuming, your have 2 drinks per person this option should only run you about $60 USD  per person.

Bonus Tip: Filtered water at Sheer Rocks is free. You just have to ask for it.

Food & Drinks

To try to help sustain certain marine species around Antigua and Barbuda, bans are put in place at points in the year to stop the fishing and sale of said species. I mention this as you may not find lobster or conch available depending on when you visit Sheer Rocks Restaurant.
